Discover the Best Cat Brushes: Which One Works Best for Your Feline Friend?

I get asked all the time what our favorite cat brush is.  Charlie and Trigg hate being brushed, so I don’t have an answer, really.  So I wanted to re-run this article to see what you guys have to say.

We have reviewed many cat brushes. I am not sure if I have a favorite – some do some things that other don’t do.  We were recently asked to review the Furminator, but I declined because although the Furmintor lives up to it’s name, it also pulls out/cuts the hair of a cat’s coat that makes it shine.  I remember we got tons of fur off Caymus using it, but afterwards he looked like he was sick because the shine was gone.

But if you don’t care about that look then the Furminator is your answer.

The Shedmonster is much like the Furminator – I liked it, but still pulls out/cuts off the fur with the shine on it.  I have included a link to our review and a video below too.

I do know that many readers like the Kong Zoom Groom For Cats.

I picked up the Tangle Teezer, which is a human brush, at CVS Pharmacy – Charlie LOVES it – but it doesn’t get a lot of hair off.
