How To Make A Cardboard Rocket Ship For Your Cat Using Old Boxes

- 2 large cardboard boxes that fit your cat comfortably

- 2 medium-sized cardboard boxes

- 4 rolls of duct tape

- 1 roll of packing tape

- Scissors

- X-Acto knife or utility knife

- Ruler

- Pencil

- Paint (optional)

Instructions

1. Cut the cardboard boxes:

Start by cutting the flaps off of the large cardboard boxes. Then, cut each large box in half so you have two square-shaped pieces.

Next, cut the flaps off of the medium-sized cardboard boxes. Then, cut one of the boxes in half so you have two rectangular-shaped pieces.

2. Assemble the body of the rocket ship:

Place one of the square-shaped pieces on the ground, with the open end facing up. Place one of the rectangular-shaped pieces on top of it, centered in the middle of the square-shaped piece. Secure the two pieces together with duct tape.

Repeat steps a and b with the remaining square and rectangular-shaped pieces.

Now you should have two identical "sections" of the rocket ship body. Place one section on top of the other, and secure them together with duct tape.

3. Add the nose cone:

Cut two circles out of cardboard, each about 12 inches in diameter. Place one of the circles on the top of the rocket ship body, and the other circle on the bottom. Secure them in place with duct tape.

4. Add the wings:

Cut two more circles out of cardboard, each about 8 inches in diameter. Cut each circle in half so you have four half-circles.

Attach the half-circles to the sides of the rocket ship body, just below the nose cone. Use duct tape to secure them in place.

5. Add the porthole windows:

Use a pen or pencil to mark the location of the porthole windows on the rocket ship body.

Cut out the porthole windows using an X-Acto knife or utility knife.

6. Paint the rocket ship:

Paint the cardboard rocket ship anyway you want!

7. Let your cat enjoy their new rocket ship!
