Savage Cat Food: Premium Raw, Grain‑Free Nutrition for Healthy, Long‑Lasting Cats
In the summer of 2014 our five year old Maine Coon cat Mr. Smithwicks survived an attack from a pack of coyotes. After spending a hefty sum to fix him up we decided our little investment better live a long time. We had always fed him a high quality grain free kibble but upon research learned how destructive a low moisture diet can be on cats.

We determined that raw should be the way to go, but couldn’t find a raw food that was up to our standards. We buy our own food at the farmers’ market and purchase high-quality, sustainably raised meats. However we couldn’t find a pet food company that disclosed how their meat products were raised.
We decided to create our own cat food, made from meat held to the highest human standards, and not cheapened by useless fruit and vegetable fillers. Our product is designed to have chunks of muscle meat that help cats develop healthy teeth and gums, and is portioned individually so that no one has to measure or guess the serving size. Thus Savage Cat Food®, a raw frozen diet, was born. Our food is designed specifically for cats, not as the afterthought of a dog food company. The meat contains all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients in the same form as the prey consumed by cats in the wild.
Mr. Smithwicks couldn’t be happier about being the poster child for a raw cat food company. His fur has become silkier, he barely sheds at all, and his poop doesn’t stink. You can bet that his life is going to be long, and he wants other cats to be as happy as he is. Even though his attack was unfortunate, without it Savage Cat Food may never have come to be.
