Why I Ever See My Cat Drink Water?
* Your cat may be drinking when you're not around. Many cats prefer to drink when they're alone, or when they're not feeling threatened. If you're working long hours, your cat may be sneaking in a few drinks while you're not home.
* Your cat may be getting enough water from their food. Most cats get about 70% of their water intake from their food. If your cat is eating a wet food diet, they may not need to drink as much water.
* Your cat's water bowl may be dirty. Cats are very sensitive to dirty water, and they may refuse to drink if their water bowl is dirty. Place your cat's water bowl in a quiet, cool area and keep it full of fresh water at all times.
If you're concerned that your cat isn't drinking enough water, take them to the vet. The vet can check your cat's hydration status and rule out any other medical problems that could be causing dehydration.
