Heartwarming Corgi Tries to Share a Bone With His Reflection — A Touching Display of Playful Empathy

What did we ever do to deserve corgis?

That's the question some are asking after Agent Auggie, a handsome, black-and-tan floof, was videoed trying to share his favorite toy, a rawhide dog bone, with an unlikely recipient — his own stubby-legged, loaf-like reflection!

The tender AF gesture was captured by Auggie's human, Eric Smith, a literary agent who lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife, Nena.

As proud dog parents are wont to do, they uploaded the short, twenty-five second clip to Twitter, where it promptly viraled out to the tune of 69,000+ RTs (nice!) and snagged a spot on the platform's coveted Moments tab.

"I don't think any of you understand just how pure corgis are. He keeps trying to share that bone with his reflection in our closet mirrors," Smith wrote.

Naturally, the doggo's altruistic display was not lost on commenters, who came together in collective fashion to extoll the pup's purity — and that of the breed as well.

"Sent this to two friends and they both responded, within seconds of each other, 'WE DON'T DESERVE DOGS'", shared this woman.

"ERIC!!!! I AM TOO PREGNANT FOR THIS LEVEL OF EMOTION😭😭😭", screemed another.

"The way he smiles at his friend! This is the most pure thing I've ever seen", added a third.

Others recapped the one-sided exchange between Agent Auggie's and his mirrored counterpart with some hilarious roleplay.
