Labradoodle Size Guide: Height, Weight, and What to Expect
With his curly or wavy coat, there's no mistaking that a Labradoodle has a poodle in his parentage. As the hybrid's name suggests, this canine's other parent is a Labrador retriever. The Labradoodle may be one of three sizes: standard, medium or miniature. Because of his thick, curly fur, the low-shedding Labradoodle can appear larger than he really is.
Three Sizes
The standard Labradoodle is the largest of the three size categories. Adult males are 22 to 24 inches high at the shoulder, and females stand 21 to 23 inches. They weigh 50 to 65 pounds.
The full-grown male medium Labradoodle ranges from 18 to 20 inches high, while the female is 17 to 19 inches. They weigh 30 to 45 pounds.
Both male and female miniature Labradoodles stand 14 to 16 inches high and weigh between 15 and 25 pounds.
