Picking Up Dog Poop In Public Places

Why are there so many inconsiderate dog owners out there? They give us pet owners a bad name. No one wants to step in dog poop at the park or in their neighborhood. Not only is it irresponsible to leave your dogs poop laying around it also contaminates the soil and water supply. It’s not fertilizer. Yes it’s biodegradable, but so are humans: that doesn’t mean we should just leave them lying there. Pick up the poop.

Dog waste is gross and offensive to your neighbors and those you meet at the dog park. Don’t be the jerk who thinks no one is looking, pick it up regardless. Do you like stepping in dog poop? Do you like it when your dog steps in dog poop? It’s not a fun task but it’s really quite simple:

• Your dog poops at the park or one someones lawn
• You see the poop and begin to contemplate your next move
• You decide that you can be (A) a good person and clean it up or you can be (B) a lazy jerk and leave it

• Place a plastic bag over your hands
  Reach down and pick it up
  Dispose of the poop in an appropriate container (not the mailbox)
  Or you can even buy premade dog poop bags

Congratulations (A) you are now a responsible pet owner that doesn’t have to walk down your street in shame.

Even if you think no one is looking you need to pick up that poop. It’s bad for the environment and it’s just plain rude.
