How to Delight Your Dog’s Taste Buds: A Nutrient‑Rich Guide

We love to see our dogs happy and energetic.  Sometimes, we may wonder why he/she isn’t as happy and lively as they usually are.  Well, it could be that bland food they are eating.  What can I do to make Rover happy?  Start by giving him a mixture of good fruits and vegetables that contain essential nutrients, antioxidants and fiber. Vegetables to make his taste buds sing includes: Carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, kale, broccoli and collard greens.  This could be a nice treat for him especially since dogs love this stuff and it’s healthy for them. Fruits to make him love you more: Apples, blueberries, pears. Dogs are unable to digest whole raw vegetables and fruits because these foods contain a thick cellulose covering over them so it is recommended that you pulp the produce. You can pulp them using: A food processor, juicer or grind them. Once you have them pulped you can divide your mixture into portions and store them in plastic ziploc bags then store in your freezer.  When you are ready to make Rover’s taste buds sing, thaw it out until it’s the right temperature for him.  Microwaving is not recommended. Thaw naturally.  Once you have taken a portion out of the freezer for your pet, do not re-freeze.  Place it into the fridge after use.  This mixture will last in the fridge for 5 days. This mixture can be an addition to their food or a healthy snack.
