Survivor Cat Gertrude Forms Heartwarming Bond with Shelter Pup After Dog Attack
After surviving a dog attack, you would think that a cat would want nothing to do with other dogs. That wasn’t the case with Gertrude. The cat had been pregnant when a dog attacked her and caused severe internal bleeding. The vet was able to save the cat, but her unborn babies did not survive the terrible ordeal.
Once she had recovered, the cat went to live at a shelter. The staff was shocked when a new puppy arrived and Gertrude made it clear she wanted to befriend this dog. It was as if the mother cat could tell this dog needed nurturing.
Watch the video to learn about this amazing cat that didn’t give up on dogs even after a terrible experience.
No one expected this cat to trust a dog ever again.
