How to Hydrate a Dehydrated Dog
* Use a syringe or eyedropper to slowly drip water into a dog's mouth. Water that's in a bowl on the floor may appear too daunting to drink when a pet feels unwell.
* Don't let dog lick or chew on ice; chewing ice hurts a dehydrated dog's mouth
2. Use an electrolyte solution.
* Mix 100 oz water with the amount of salt and baking soda indicated below depending on how severe symptoms are: If dehydrated dog has: Severe symptoms (can’t walk) Use ½ teaspoon baking soda and two teaspoons pure salts; Mild symptom Use ¼ teaspoon of baking soda & one teaspoon pure salts
3. Feed the dog wet or canned food.
4. If you dog still wont consume fluids seek medical attention:
Your vet may give your thirsty pooch an IV with nutrients and antibiotics for the quickest hydration relief
