How to Make Homemade Dry Dog Food
- 5 pounds of bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 ½ pounds of whole, peeled carrots
- 1 1/2 pounds of whole celery stalks and leaves
- 1 pound of sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1- ½ pounds green beans, trimmed
- 2 zucchini, cut into 1-inch chunks
- ½ cup oats
- 2 cups brown rice
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 25 Vitamin E oil
-25 Vitamin C oil
Step 2: Bake it all!
- Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F
-Spread everything out on a big baking sheet so that nothing is overlapping.
-Roast on the middle rack of your oven for 45-50 minutes, tossing them halfway through.
- Let everything cool completely after taking it out of the oven.
Step 3: Blend it up!
- Cut boneless cooked chicken into chunks to make it easier to blend.
-Put everything in a food processor and blend until you get a consistency like sand.
- Transfer to an air-tight container.
Step 4: Feed your dog!
- Feed 2-3 tablespoons to your dog as needed.
- Store in the fridge for up to a month or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
