How to Make Whitening Dog Shampoo
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Castile soap (a gentle, plant-based soap)
- 1/2 cup of baking soda
- 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide (3% solution)
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil (optional, for fragrance)
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the Castile soap, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and cornstarch.
2. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined and there are no lumps.
3. Add the lavender essential oil, if desired, and stir again.
4. Transfer the mixture to a clean, airtight container.
To use:
1. Wet your dog's coat thoroughly.
2. Apply a generous amount of the whitening shampoo to your dog's coat and work it into a lather.
3. Avoid the eyes and mouth area.
4. Leave the shampoo in for 5-10 minutes, then rinse it off thoroughly.
5. Follow with a conditioner, if desired.
Tips:
- For best results, use the whitening shampoo once or twice a month.
- Avoid using the shampoo too frequently as it can dry out your dog's skin.
- If your dog has any skin conditions or sensitivities, consult with a veterinarian before using this shampoo.
