Uses for Palmolive Dish Detergent

Because Palmolive is formulated to cut grease on dishes, it is useful for removing excess oils on a pet's coat; however, it may strip the natural oils your pet needs for a healthy coat, so it should not be used often. Palmolive dish detergent may destroy flea exoskeletons, meaning it can be used to kill adult fleas already on your pet before starting regular flea treatment.

Removing the Skunk Scent

Combine 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of dish detergent to produce an effective treatment for skunk spray aroma. This product is combustible, so do not store it after use.
