How to Make a Natural Dog Tear Stain Remover
- Distilled water
- Organic apple cider vinegar
- Cotton balls
- Optional: Olive oil or coconut oil
Instructions:
1. Mix equal parts distilled water and organic apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
2. Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and gently wipe it over your dog's tear stains.
3. If the tear stains are severe, you can hold a dampened cotton ball over the area for a few minutes.
4. Rinse the area with warm water.
5. Repeat as needed until the tear stains disappear.
Tips:
- Be sure to use distilled water, as tap water can contain minerals that can irritate your dog's eyes.
- If your dog has sensitive skin, you can dilute the apple cider vinegar with more water.
- You can also add a few drops of olive oil or coconut oil to the mixture to help moisturize your dog's skin.
- If your dog is prone to tear stains, you can also try feeding them a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as fish or flaxseed oil.
Note:
If your dog has persistent or severe tear stains, it's important to consult with a veterinarian to rule out any underlying medical conditions.
