How to Build a Bailey Chair for Dogs

* 1x4 pine boards (10)

* 2x4 pine boards (4)

* 1/2-inch plywood (1 sheet)

* 2-inch wood screws

* 1-inch wood screws

* Wood glue

* Sandpaper

* Stain or paint (optional)

Tools

* Saw

* Drill

* Sander

* Measuring tape

* Level

* Pencil

Instructions

1. Cut the 1x4 pine boards to the following lengths:

* 4 pieces at 18 inches long

* 4 pieces at 24 inches long

* 2 pieces at 30 inches long

2. Cut the 2x4 pine boards to the following lengths:

* 4 pieces at 16 inches long

3. Assemble the frame of the chair by attaching the 1x4 boards to the 2x4 boards with 2-inch wood screws. The 1x4 boards should be placed at the top, bottom, and center of the 2x4 boards.

4. Attach the plywood to the bottom of the chair frame with 1-inch wood screws.

5. Sand the chair to smooth out any rough edges.

6. Stain or paint the chair (optional).

7. Add a cushion or blanket to the chair for your dog to sit on.

Tips

* If you want to make the chair more comfortable for your dog, you can add a cushion or blanket to the seat.

* You can also add a back to the chair by attaching a piece of plywood to the back of the frame with 1-inch wood screws.

* If you want to make the chair more durable, you can use treated wood instead of pine.
