Walk With Dogs for a Healthier Life

Animal rights activist Nadia Sikdar is working to create love for dogs with the slogan ‘Walk with dogs, stay healthy’.

He is setting up a ‘Dog Walkers Club’ targeting the Hatirjheel project area.

Residents of Hatirjheel who love dogs can become members of this club.

Many have already become members of the club and are helping to accelerate Nadia Sikdar’s work.

However, there are various obstacles. Some call him a bitch, some call him a devil.

Many are also doing various obscene abuses. However, Nadia Sikdar is not breaking all this.

According to him, ‘there will be various obstacles at the beginning of any changing work, that is normal. However, the animal rights activist believes that if the attitude of the people changes, the existing problems will be solved gradually.

‘He has already gained a lot of recognition in Bangladesh through his work.

Born in Bangladesh, Nadia Sikder grew up in America. Now America and Bangladesh are sharing in both the countries.

He has also learned to speak broken Bengali.

In an exclusive interview with Jugantar in Hatirjheel on Tuesday, Nadia Sikder outlined her plans for animal rights, human rights and environmental protection.

He said, ‘Many people in Dhaka city keep dogs.

But he was confined to four walls all day.In this way, the mood of pet dogs becomes irritable.

This is why these dogs treat people badly. If the dogs can walk for at least 20 minutes a day, then the mind and body of the dog will be better.Pet dogs will not be violent.

This is because regular walking will save a considerable amount of calories for the dogs, which will help them to stay healthy.

And if you walk with the dog, your body and mind will be better.Pet dogs are companions of the faithful.

This feeling has been created in me by raising dogs since childhood. That’s why I love dogs so much.Of course, I love other animals too. ‘

In response to a question, he said, “There is a lot of traffic jam in Dhaka city.

There are very few fields or parks for leisure or walking. As a result, the children are becoming homeless.

Smartphones and the internet are their play equipment.Due to these reasons, it is also having a far-reaching effect on pets.

Day and night pets have to be confined within four walls. These animals are not getting light-air and play mates.

I believe that if children and teenagers walk regularly with dogs, it will help them in their recreation and exercise. ‘

In response to another question, he said, “I am very saddened to see the cruel treatment of animals by the people of Dhaka city.

For this reason, I am working on animal rights despite hundreds of adversities.Animals will be safer if human attitudes change.

Not only am I encouraging people, I am also keeping two dogs.Giving them time every day.I am encouraging people to do this. ‘

About Hatirjheel, he said, ‘Hatirjheel is a very beautiful place to go.There are wide sidewalks and open spaces for dogs to walk on.

Moreover, there is no obstacle in Hatirjheel for walking with dogs.

A unique environment with trees and shrubs.Hatirjheel is near my house so I walk regularly with my two dogs (Scooby and Simba). ‘

According to Nadia Sikdar, an animal rights, human rights and environmental activist, “I am very happy to be able to change the mindset of the people by overcoming adversity.

Many individuals and groups are working on animal rights.I believe that people will gradually change. “

Incidentally, inspired by Nadia Sikdar’s awareness activities, many have voluntarily taken part in

the protest against the killing of dogs, including puppies, in Banasree or Mirpur. In the past, many people used to throw stones or tease when they saw a street dog or a pet dog, but now it is also declining.
