How to Bathe a Pet Mouse

_Things you will need:_

- A small, shallow container (such as a sink or plastic tub)

- Warm water

- A mild soap or shampoo (such as baby shampoo)

- A soft cloth or towel

- A cotton swab

- A hair dryer (optional)

_Instructions:_

1. _Prepare the bathing area:_

- Fill the container with enough warm water to cover your mouse's body.

- Add a small amount of mild soap or shampoo and mix it well.

2. _Place your mouse in the container:_

- Gently pick up your mouse and place it in the water.

- Support your mouse's body with one hand while you use the other hand to wet its fur.

- Be careful not to get water in your mouse's ears or eyes.

3. _Lather your mouse:_

- Use your fingers to apply a small amount of soap or shampoo to your mouse's fur.

- Gently rub your mouse's fur until it is covered in a lather.

- Be careful not to scrub your mouse's skin too hard, as this could cause irritation.

4. _Rinse your mouse:_

- Use your other hand to pour warm water over your mouse.

- Continue to rinse your mouse until all of the soap or shampoo has been removed.

5. _Dry your mouse:_

- Use a soft cloth or towel to gently pat your mouse dry.

- Be careful not to rub your mouse's fur, as this could cause it to become frizzy.

6. _Optional:_

- Use a hair dryer on the lowest setting to help dry your mouse's fur more quickly.

- Hold the hair dryer at least six inches away from your mouse and move it around constantly.

_Tips:_

- If your mouse is very dirty, you may need to bathe it twice.

- Be sure to rinse your mouse thoroughly after each shampooing.

- Do not bathe your mouse more than once a month, as this could dry out its skin.

- If your mouse has any health problems, talk to your veterinarian before bathing it.
