How to Introduce a Female Puppy an Adult Male Dog

1. Choose a neutral location for the introduction. The best place to introduce the puppy and the adult dog is on neutral territory as it decreases the likelihood of aggressive behaviour in the resident dog and minimizes the probability of territory-based marking later.

2. Use positive reinforcement. Provide treats and positive affirmations while the puppy and the adult dog interact to strengthen the bond.

3. Supervise the introduction and manage it properly. Keep the adult dog on the lead and allow them to sniff around and get acquainted with the puppy.
