How to Make a Jacket for Miniature Dachshund

* Fabric (fleece, cotton, or wool)

* Thread

* Sewing machine or needle and thread

* Scissors

* Measuring tape

* Paper

* Pencil

Instructions:

1. Measure your dog's neck, chest, and length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

2. Draw a pattern for the jacket on paper. The pattern should include a front piece, a back piece, and two sleeve pieces.

3. Cut out the pattern pieces.

4. Pin the pattern pieces to the fabric and cut out the fabric pieces.

5. Sew the front and back pieces together at the shoulders and sides.

6. Sew the sleeve pieces to the armholes.

7. Fold the bottom edge of the jacket up 1/2 inch and sew it in place.

8. Fold the top edge of the jacket up 1 inch and sew it in place.

9. Add a buttonhole to the front of the jacket.
