How to Create Ink Prints of My Paw
- Non-toxic ink pad
- White paper or cardstock
- Painter’s tape
- Baby wipes or damp cloth
Step 1: Preparing Your Pet’s Paw
- Trim your pet's nails to prevent any unnecessary scratches.
-Wipe their paw clean with a baby wipe or damp cloth to remove any dirt or moisture.
-Once the paw is clean and dry, apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the paw pad.
-This will help prevent the ink from smudging.
Step 2: Applying Ink to The Paw
- Once the petroleum jelly is applied, gently press your pet's paw onto the ink pad, ensuring that all the toes and paw pad make contact with the ink.
-If needed, you may need to press down gently to ensure full coverage.
Step 3: Placing the Paw on the Paper
-Lift your pet's inked paw and gently place it onto the piece of paper or cardstock.
-Press down gently to ensure a good ink transfer.
-Hold the paw there for a few seconds before lifting it off.
Step 4: Cleaning Your Pet’s Paw
- Wipe your pet's paw clean with a baby wipe or damp cloth to remove any excess ink.
-Repeat the process with other paws, if desired.
Step 5: Removing Any Stray Ink
-If there are any smudges or stray ink marks on the paper, use the scotch tape to gently lift off any excess ink.
Allow the ink to dry completely before displaying your unique and personalized pet paw print art!
