Health Implications
Thiamine is essential for feline health. A diet low in this vitamin can lead to deficiency, which may manifest first as decreased appetite, excessive salivation, vomiting, failure to grow, and weight loss. If left untreated, neurological signs can develop, including neck ventroflexion, mental dullness, vision changes, wobbliness, circling, falling, and seizures.
Veterinary evaluation should be sought immediately if any of these signs are observed. Early intervention typically reverses the condition.
Consumer Guidance
Owners who purchased the recalled product should:
- Stop feeding the product to their cats.
- Return the item to the retailer for a full refund or a replacement.
- Hold onto the original packaging; the UPC and lot code are printed on the front of the bag.
Replacement inventory is expected to reach distribution channels by mid‑March. Go Raw LLC will provide further updates as they become available.
