Meet Leo & Luna: The Adorable Ragdoll Duo of the Week

My husband and I decided to add pet(s) to the household shortly after we got married. We both grew up with cats and knew they would be the perfect addition to our growing family. I researched many different breeds and quickly concluded a Ragdoll would be the perfect fit.
We got our little Leo first from Bayridgerags Ragdolls in East Greenwich Rhode Island (highly, highly recommend)! He was born June 25th, 2018. He is blue bi-color. From the moment we laid eyes on him, we knew he was the ONE. He was so cuddly and playful and was quick to make himself comfortable in our home. From the first night forward, he snuggled up between us in bed, under the blankets, and purred the night away. We fell in love, fast.
But my husband and I felt so bad leaving him alone while we were at work and decided Leo needed a furry companion. So, we started to look for a 2nd Ragdoll. That is when Luna came into our life! She was born April 28th, 2018 and is from Raven’s Glen Ragdolls in Rhode Island (highly, highly recommend)! She is seal mitted. Our little Luna was actually placed into a home previously and then returned due to allergies, so our poor gal was a bit nervous going to another new home.

Luna, being the older kitten, was very apprehensive to meet Leo at first. After days of what felt like Jurassic World, they had their special moment (that I of course captured). See below! From this moment on, they became inseparable. They love to follow each from room to room and snuggle in their bed together. They may not be blood related, but they are siblings at heart.

The two of them are like puppy dogs. Right when we walk through the door, they are waiting for us. They follow us from room to room around the house. The best part, they are amazing with company. I’ve had many cats over the years, but none of them would hang out when company came around. They love to be around people, which is uncommon for cats.

We love to spoil them. They have so many toys. From cat trees, to circle tracks, they have it all. But out of all the toys, their favorite are the plastic springs. They love to carry them around in their mouths and fling them around the house. They also love to sit with us on our enclosed front porch and watch the birds and bunnies.
Luna is our alarm clock. Every morning she jumps onto our chests, kneads and bunts until we wake up. Her purr shakes the house. Leo on the other hand will sleep at our feet, unamused and flopped over, waiting for his morning belly rub.
The two of them are an inseparable pair. Ying and Yang. Leo is the stability to Luna’s spontaneity. Luna is sassy and flirtatious, while Leo is much more laid back.

We could go on and on about our children, but in all honesty, there is nothing better than coming home to these precious kitties! We crave their affection as much as they do, and they bring so much joy into our lives. If you want to see more of the two of them, feel free to follow their Instagram page @floppy_Leo_n_Luna!
