Can Cats See Photos?

Cats can see photos, but they do not see them in the same way humans do. Human vision is trichromatic, meaning we have three types of cones in our retinas that allow us to see a wide range of colors. Cats, on the other hand, are dichromats, meaning they only have two types of cones in their retinas. This means that they cannot see as many colors as humans, and they cannot distinguish between certain colors, such as red and green.

In addition, cats have a lower resolution of vision than humans. This means that they cannot see as many details in an image as humans can. However, cats do have better night vision than humans, and they can see more clearly in low light conditions.

So, while cats can see photos, they do not experience them in the same way humans do. They see fewer colors and less detail, but they can see better in low light conditions.
