How to Make a Cat Cage Out of PVC Pipe

### Step-by-Step Instructions

1. ### Gather Your Materials

- PVC pipes and fittings

- Sharp utility knife

- Tape measure

- Pencil

- PVC cement

- Fine grit sandpaper

- Wire cutters

- 1/2-inch chicken wire

- Cable ties

- Zip ties

- Cat bed

- Water bottle

- Litter pan

- Toys

2. ### Measure and Cut the PVC Pipes

- Measure and cut the PVC pipes according to the following lengths:

- 4 pieces - 24 inches long

- 4 pieces - 30 inches long

- 4 pieces - 36 inches long

3. ### Assemble the PVC Frame

- Connect the 24-inch pipes to the 30-inch pipes using 4 T-fittings.

- This should form a square.

- Connect the remaining 24-inch pipes to the 36-inch pipes using 4 T-fittings.

- This should form another square.

4. ### Attach the PVC Frame to the T-fittings

- Use PVC cement to attach the squares of the frame together with the T-fittings.

5. ### Sand the PVC Frame

- Use fine grit sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges on the PVC frame.

6. ### Cut and Attach the Chicken Wire

- Cut the chicken wire to a size that will cover the entire front of the cage.

- Attach the chicken wire to the front of the cage using cable ties.

- Be sure to leave enough space at the top for the door.

7. ### Fashion a Door

- Cut a 24-inch and a 13-inch piece of PVC.

- Connect them using a T-fitting.

- Attach the door to the front of the cage using zip ties.

8. ### Add the Cat Bed and Accessories

- Place the cat bed, water bottle, litter pan, and food bowl inside the cage.

- Add some toys to keep your cat entertained.
