Heartwarming Bond: 5-Month-Old Baby and Baby Sloth Become Best Friends

Best friends come in all shapes, sizes, colors and breeds.

Just look at this 5-month-old baby and her best friend, who just happens to be a sloth. According to BuzzFeed, baby Alia and Daisy the baby sloth met when Alia was just two days old. Ever since then, the two have been pretty inseparable. They nap together, read together and even wear matching bows in their hair, because that’s just what best friends do! “When Alia and Daisy sit next to each other, Daisy sniffs Alia while Alia nuzzles into Daisy’s soft fur. They are so sweet together,” Julia Heckathorn, Alia’s mom said.

Heckathorn told BuzzFeed that she and her husband got Daisy before they knew Alia was coming. To them, it just seemed that these two being in each other’s lives was fate. “I believe that the events happened as God planned them. I guess he knew we could handle the work of two babies at the same time, and that it would be great for them to grow up together,” Heckathorn said.

Not only does Heckathorn have a baby and a sloth, but she also has a kangaroo, anteater, sugar gliders and a cat.
