35 Dogs Rescued from Georgia Puppy Mill; New Life Begins at Noah's Ark Sanctuary
35 Dogs Rescued from Puppy Mill in Butts County, GA
35 dogs have been rescued from a puppy mill operation in Georgia. The dogs are now under the care of Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary in Locust Grove. The dogs were discovered when police were called to the home on an unrelated charge. Owners Todd Porterfield and Marianna Lord have been charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty and failure to immunize.
The dogs were in such poor condition it’s going to be a few months before any of them are available for adoption. Some of them are going to have their teeth taken out. The district attorney’s office is looking at the possibility of charging Porterfield and Lord with additional charges.
You can help by help spreading the word about the horrible plight of puppy mill dogs. We can’t do everything, but we can each do something.
