Ensuring Your Pet's Toothpaste Is Safe: Key Ingredients to Avoid
Something a lot of pet owners overlook is the importance of checking the ingredients in your pet’s toothpaste.
Maybe you’ve never considered this, but they’re going to be swallowing the product you’re using as you brush their teeth. Unlike us humans who spit the toothpaste out, our pets don’t understand that they should be doing that.
What to Do About It
Be sure to read the label and ingredients on your pet toothpaste. Most products on the market are full of synthetic chemicals and things that your pet should never be swallowing.
If you are brushing your pet’s teeth regularly around 2 or 3 times per week, that is a lot of chemicals they are potentially ingesting.
To avoid this, make sure you’re using a natural pet toothpaste with ingredients that are going to be safe and healthy to ingest on a regular basis. This can also prevent a disruption of the microflora in their gut system and keep them from getting an upset tummy.
