How to Bathe a Pug
1. Brush your pug's coat thoroughly before bathing. This will help to remove any dirt or debris that could clog the drain.
2. Place a non-slip mat in the bathtub to help your pug stay steady.
3. Wet your pug's coat with warm water. Be sure to avoid getting water in their ears.
4. Apply a dog-specific shampoo to your pug's coat and work it into a lather. Avoid using human shampoo, as it can be harsh on your pug's skin.
5. Rinse your pug's coat thoroughly with warm water until all of the shampoo has been removed.
6. Condition your pug's coat if desired. This will help to keep their coat soft and healthy.
7. Rinse your pug's coat thoroughly with warm water until all of the conditioner has been removed.
8. Towel dry your pug's coat to remove excess water.
9. Let your pug air dry or use a low-heat blow dryer to finish drying their coat. Be sure to avoid using a high-heat blow dryer, as this can damage your pug's skin.
10. Brush your pug's coat once again to remove any tangles.
Additional tips:
* Bathe your pug as needed, but no more than once a week.
* Trim your pug's nails before bathing them to avoid scratching yourself.
* If your pug has any skin conditions, such as allergies or fleas, be sure to talk to your veterinarian before bathing them.
