How to Make A Spinning Bottle Puzzle Feeder For Dogs
* 2-liter plastic bottle
* Craft knife or scissors
* Wooden dowel (about 1 inch thick and 6 inches long)
* Drill
* 2 washers
* 2 nuts
* Dog food or treats
Instructions:
1. Cut the bottle in half. Use a craft knife or scissors to cut the bottle in half horizontally, about 1/3 of the way down from the top.
2. Drill a hole in the center of the bottle cap. The hole should be just big enough for the wooden dowel to fit through.
3. Insert the wooden dowel into the hole in the bottle cap. Make sure the dowel is secure and does not wobble.
4. Place a washer on each side of the dowel. The washers will help to keep the dowel in place and prevent it from slipping out.
5. Secure the washers in place with the nuts. Tighten the nuts until the washers are snug against the bottle cap.
6. Fill the bottom half of the bottle with dog food or treats. Don't fill it all the way, so the bottle can spin.
7. Screw the top half of the bottle back on.
8. To use the puzzle feeder, simply hold the bottle upside down and let your dog spin it. As the bottle spins, the dog food or treats will fall out.
9. Enjoy watching your dog play with their new puzzle feeder!
Tips:
* If your dog is having trouble spinning the bottle, you can try giving them a little nudge to get them started.
* You can also adjust the difficulty of the puzzle feeder by changing the amount of food or treats you put inside.
* This puzzle feeder is a great way to keep your dog entertained and stimulated. It's also a great way to slow down their eating, which can help to prevent obesity.
