Essential Feeding Guide: How to Properly Nourish Your Cat
We love our feline friends. When it comes to feeding them we have to remember certain things: 1-Choose a food that is complete and balanced. A food that’s complete and balanced will contain all the vitamins and nutrition your cat needs to live a long and healthy life. Your cat will not have a need for extra vitamins if he has a balanced diet. 2-A cat’s main meal should be at dawn and dusk. This is their hunting time, so they should have a pretty ferocious appetite. 3-The average caloric intake for a cat is 200 calories per day. A cat is a very small creature, so you don’t want to give him too many calories in one day. 4-Do not overfeed him. Cats are finicky. They know when they are hungry. They are also not good judges of how much to eat. 5-Treats should be 5-10% of a cat’s daily calories. 6-Do not feed your cat raw meat. Raw meat may contain bacteria or e.coli. This is very dangerous and can cause sickness or death.
