We have to adapt to a different lifestyle. This includes how we exercise our pets. Dogs love running and jumping outside, however with the Corona-virus we are all nervous about the possibility of exposing ourselves or our pets to this killer disease.

Here are a few fun indoor exercises for your dog that you can try if you are stuck inside
- Hide food, toys, stuffed animals, etc. all over your house or backyard and let him find it. Don’t make it too easy for him to find
- Play hide and seek with him
- Let him walk on the treadmill. Make sure you do not put it too fast. Make it fun for him though
- If you have a backyard, why not build him a digging pit. Dogs love digging. That will keep him busy
- Play tug of war with him. You will probably not win
- Run up and down stairs
- Build an obstacle course but make sure you have enough room
- Make up jobs to give your pet
- Take your pet for a drive if you have a car
- Play fetch with him
A dog needs between 10-60 minutes a day of exercise. We are all adjusting to a different type of living. It is important to help your pet stay healthy and happy during these trying times.
