5 Easy DIY Toys to Enrich Your Pet's Life
You can always get your pet new pets from the stores whenever you want to. But a toy made by you for your furry friend is special and comes from the heart.
In this article, we’re going to show you how to create 5 simple do-it-yourself toys for your furry friend. With the Coronavirus lockdown, you have the time in your hands to make toys for your pet and bond, create a deeper connection.
I hope you are excited about creating toys for your furry friend. Get your creative hat on and let’s get started.
1. The sock ball:

This is an easy toy to make for your special furry friend. Dogs and cats especially like playing with socks.
To make a sock ball toy, find an old sock you no longer use or a sock that you’ve lost its pair. Stuff it with old clothes, another sock or any soft material you can find. Tie the top the sock close to the stuffing so it doesn’t feel wobbly. Or you can saw it with needle & thread to give it a good ball-like shape.
2. Rope ball:
This is similar to your sock ball. But in this case, we’re not going to be stuffing the rope but rather, we will make multiple knots with the rope until it looks like a ball.

For this to work, we recommend using a thick rope that’s anywhere between ⅛ of an inch to even ¼ of an inch. Make the knots firm so it doesn’t become undone and cut off the excess.
3. Old box castle
This toy will work best for smaller pets. If you have old boxes, you can use them to create a castle for your special furry friend.
You’ll need at least two boxes of varying sizes (a small one for the bottom and a big one for the top).

Cut up a spare box to make segments (rooms) in your castle so your pet can have fun exploring the rooms. But treats inside the castle and make it like a scavenger hunt.
4. Old Jean tug toy:

Your pair of old denim jeans can be repurposed into a tug toy for your furry friend. The first step is to remove any excess decorations and buttons so that your pet doesn’t hurt itself while playing.
The next step is to cut the the jeans along the length. Make knots at each end and few along the length. Voila! You got a tug toy for your good boy.
5. Fancy throw stick:
Make the fetch game more colorful by using a fancy looking stick instead of just a random stick you pick up.
To create your fancy stick, get a good stick and a piece of old cloth. Cut the cloth long with a width of 1 inch. Use the cut up pieces and wrap them around the stick. You can use multicolored cloth material to make it look more fancy.
